    Hi,

It's not possible in PS22. They have fixed it with PS23.

That's great! Then I have two scrap programs. ps22 defective not fixed. Ps23 does not support dolby in windows 7. I'm slowly leaving the ps series. This is outrageous !!!!

No chance to work with ps series! fix one of the bugs! I'm just paying for what's new and buying semi-finished programs!

Fingers crossed that you don't have a defective OS soon because no longer updated and secured.

Once you do all you color correcting, go back to Basic and you should be able to save it as a LUT. Then just use that LUT profile on the next clip.

Once you place the LUT on a clip, you can copy/paste as much as you want.

My mistake.. you have PS22... this above works with PS23. For PS22 if you want to copy, you will have to use Effect>Color>Image Correction CPU.

In that video you are using the Color tab at the Color BASIC setting. If you want to add BASIC color correction to a clip and then copy and paste it to one or more other clipss, instead of using that method, open the Effects tab, then the Color tab within Effects and choose Image Correction CPU. Here you have an identical set of controls and parameters. and because you are adding an effect, you can copy and paste the effect using the pink line context menu.

Obviously if you want to use the waveform monitor to help with correections you will need to use the main Color tab, but only the Basic controls, and set the correction to your desired end result, then make a note of the settings and manually transfer them to the Image correction effect.

    Hope this helps Big Smile

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

You can adjust many things within the effects menu, but you cannot adjust the color depth. And it's downright outrageous to copy everything in the color section manually to the other videos, because there are 15 videos I need to copy. This is not a solution! I know the ps 23 is patched and I bought it, but they no longer support windows 7 dolby sound. The minimum would be to fix this problem in ps22.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

Are the clips you need to copy/paste the color grading to contiguous ?

Where did I say that you could?

I said " If you want to add BASIC color correction to a clip". I even put it in caps. Your video is open at the basic corrections page.

So much for trying to help people who for some reason want to run an 11 year old operating system.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

I understand you want to help, thank you. But ps22 was even made for windows 7! This copy function does not work so it is useless. So anyone who has a ps22 program can use it if they have already paid the price. Programmers could fix this smoothly. Why don't they? Maybe to buy ps23 and then it works.

Did you report that when S22 was the current version of Studio? I did. S22 is no longer the current version of Studio.

No point in being rude to the people trying to help you here. They don't work for Pinnacle.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

I didn't offend anyone here. Nice to see what I asked you. Where can I describe my frustration if not here? I have two environment editing programs ps22, ps23 which are useless. I bought these, not downloaded like many others. I work with these programs, not just for fun. Unfortunately now I can stay with ps 20, which is much slower than new ps versions.
Let me get angry when I throw my money out the window. I don't want to buy new windows yet because of ps23. That's why I'm disappointed that ps 22 doesn't fix that copy bug.
If you can give me a contact where I can share these comments then I am looking forward.

So you're ready to stay with PS20 which has almost no color grading tool, but you consider PS22 usless, just because the color grading can't be copied/pasted.

    I don't follow you.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

in ps20 version you can still adjust the color saturation in the color correction section. This option has been removed for ps 22-23 because this new feature has been added.
Also, ps20 processes videos slower than new versions. Now understandable?

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

Saturation is still present in the CPU Image Correction effect in both PS22 and PS23 :

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

    Attachment: PS22 Saturation.jpg

I can fully understand frustration when something "should" work, but doesn't. I've posted my thoughts on things that I would like to see changed. But to say the the programs are useless is not true. I get paid for a lot of work that I do. Right now, I am contracted by a multi national corporation to edit. So useless? I seriously doubt your broad sweeping brush. I've been working with these programs going to back to Avid Studio and before that, S9 along with just about every Pinnacle product (my fav is Avid Liquid Pro). Yes, there are problems and things that I would love to see implemented. I've made a LOT of money with the software as have others. I've completed innumerable videos with the software too.

And then you say you are going back to PS20, which you admit is much slower, and has less features. Should that bug have been fixed? I think it should have been. But it isn't. And because you choose (like a lot of other people) to remain on Win7, that is your choice as it is Pinnacle and others to no longer support the OS.

I have several other editors and they all are flawed. None perfect. But I work around the issues and continue to finish what I start.

I don't follow where you said you could not adjust Saturation in PS22. I can. Sort of like I and jjn said in the above comments.

As for processing videos faster... that's debatable. At least according PCMag who tested the software.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

    no selective saturation!
removed from what was in the ps22 version! I just need the blue or the mess to be stronger!

ps20 effect / color  pic [click to view image]

ps22 effect / color pic2  [click to view image]

it is important to be able to set selective saturation because videos from multiple cameras have a different color value!

So in this sense the color part of ps22 is useless because the copy ability has not been fixed!

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

Selective Color effect in PS23 is doing the same, even better since you can pick your own color :

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

But I can't use ps23 because it has removed dolby audio support for ps23!
I would use ps22, but there is selective saturation out of the color effect. The ps22 program has very good color settings and selective color saturation inside, but it cannot be copied because only the ps23 has been fixed!
I have two programs ps22 and ps23 which are useless for these reasons.
The ps20 is slower in many ways, but at least everything is in one place.

What you wrote about selective colors is not what I'm talking about. I wrote about the saturation of colors as you can see in the pictures above.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

What I wrote is exactly the effect you're talking about => modify saturation of a single color.

With the Selective saturation effect of PS20 you have separate sliders for Red, Magenta, Blue, Cyan, Green, Yellow. What if the pixels you want to saturate/desaturate are between Yellow and Green ? In this case the tool in PS20 is inefficient.

With the Selective Color effect of PS22 and PS23 you can do exactly the same but it's more effective because you can pick the exact color you need to saturate/desaturate directly in your video. You can even select a range of colors. Much more powerful.

Re: Ps22 ultimate how do I copy the color setting?

much more dilution with selective colors than what's in the ps22 a color / hsl tuning
What is the reason why they do not want to fix this bug in ps22 to make it copyable? I do not understand the reason for this.

Because PS22 is no longer sold. Developement of this version is over.

yes i thought it was done wrong. I hope the ps23 version will play back the dolby sound. I have seen on many forums that it was not just me. The bottom line is that I did not get any closer to the solution. Where can I apply for the ps24 beta tester?

As soon as you run it on a Win10 machine, it will.

Of course it is not just you. But still not enough people to have Corel change the decision they made.

Solution for what ? Dolby issue or Copy/Paste color grading ?

    I don't know. Their contact page : https://www.pinnaclesys.com/en/about/company/contact/
