    Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

    That's a Corel offer.

I never managed to get Art Blends and 3D Transformation show up in my PS21.

I would be glad to get any feedback from users who have already installed these 2 plugins.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

The email says Pinnacle Studio 21 and so does the link I posted. Technically, you are right, it's a Corel offer since they own Pinnacle. If you want to buy it, you go to the https://shop.pinnaclesys.com/. I do know Colorfast works, and someone I already know that bit the bullet said everything was working, but they are on the road at the moment.

This was like the Pinnacle/NBFX offer for Colorfast, Video Essentials I & 5 a while back that I bought before they offered VE5 with PS21.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

My problem is that I installed recently 3D Transformations, 3D Explosions, Paint Blends, Motion Blends, Art Blends and Light Effects.

Installation went fine because I see the new installed files into C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Studio 21\plugins\RTFXV2\NewBlueFX

But except Light Effects, which is working fine, no other plugin is present in the Editor, nor Library of PS21.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

I have at least two other editors that have NBFX. I see NBFX in the x86 folder and 64bit folder. I have NBFX in RTFXV2 also, but do not know where NBFX transitions are kept.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

    C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Studio 21\plugins\RTFXV2\NewBlueFX\MotionBlends and C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Studio 21\plugins\RTFXV2\NewBlueFX\LightBlends

    That's .fxt and .fex files.

All I have are .dll's for them. LightBlender has those file extensions.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

From the other threads, I presume that you managed to get all 3 working - 2 under transitions and ColorFast under Fx. I just installed them successfully.

However, I have a minor problem with ColorFast under the effects editor. There is not enough height to see all of the parameters and no vertical scroll bar. To get to the very bottom, I had to collapse almost everything. The last item is "Enable" under "Shape Mask." Is this normal?

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

The scroll bar is located far-right of the keyframes timeline, just to the left of the preview window. Don't you have it ?

Either my old eyes can't see the vertical scroll bar or I need to change my contact lenses.

Sorry, I was talking about PS21.

In my PS20, the vertical scroll bar is actually present :

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

Thanks for looking. Yes, I just checked that the scroll bar works in V20. So what can be wrong with 21? Could the developers have eliminated or forgotten the vertical scroll bar?

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

I don't understand. Your previous screenshot was made in PS21 or PS20 ?

If you answer PS21, then the screenshot was made from the legacy effects editor (right-click the magenta line above a clip + effects + edit + colorfast). In the legacy editor of PS21 the scroll bar is missing.

In my 1st answer to your question, I was talking about the new effects editor of PS21. In this new editor, the scroll bar is present and I explained where.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

    Ok, I understand now.

My image was from version 21 using the legacy editor and the vertical scroll bar is missing from it. I now see that there is a new editor, as you pointed out, and it has the vertical scroll bar. The new editor was not obvious to me. Double-clicking gave me Properties; I didn't notice that I had to click on Effects to see them.

When I looked at version 20, legacy editor, there was a vertical scroll bar.

Looking at the new editor, that is a significant improvement. I should have read the documentation and stopped using the legacy editor.

    Thanks for pointing this out.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

FWIW, Colorfast has a different UI for each program.  For example, here is the interface for Corel's VS X10 which is radically different than PS 20 or 21:

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

That s the original interface of the plugin.

One can open the same in PS too.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

Saby, I vaguely remember it too, but seem to can't get that interface to appear PS21.

As for the scroll problem. There appears to be no scroll bar if you decide to edit again the effect from the timeline asset. Right mouse, and selecting Edit>colorfast opens (for me) the legacy Editor where you do not see the last of the settings, depending on your monitor resolution. The only way to see the bottom options (for me, Shape Mask) is to collapse some of the upper ones.

    Re: Re:NewBlue FX Sale!!

     Tony,

That is what I was on about. But using the new editor screen is so much better and it has the scroll bar. You don't leave the main editing screen to modify effects and add keyframes.

For anyone interested, NB has a few tutorials on ColorFast. Here is one for secondary correction.

I have been following it to add some blue to the sky in my example image that I posted earlier, without affecting the rest of the image.
