(PS21) What is the use of .tmp files that comes with export?

    Hi,

Wondering what is the use of the .tmp file which is created during export? It has the same filesize as the (in my case) mp4.

Can I delete it without any consequences?

    Thanks..

This file is built during export and then is transformed to the mp4 just before the export is finished. Should be deleted automaticaly by Studio. In some cases it is not.

If your mp4 is playing back fine, you can delete the tmp safely. Might be required to close Studio before deletion.

Same issue, but the file size ranges from the same as the MP4 all the way down to 0 bytes.

If I try to delete it before closing Pinnacle, says 'file in use'. So I agree one should exit pinnacle before deleting.

I generally 'proof' check my expored video, and if nothing seems wrong, I delete the tmp file.

    Hope that helps!
