ST21.5ult-How to show a moving line (as on a map) in Studio?

How to show a colored line moving across a picture of a map?

I vaguely recall a much older version of Studio being to do this, but I forgot how.

I don't know of a way to draw a line.  I use a still of a motorhome and use the pan and zoom in the editor to make it drive along the road.

You can draw the line in photoshop, or equivalent, then put the lined map above the original and use a swipe transition, or keyframed . Or there is a freeware program 'Route Generator.  Or if you want . .  .'Vasco da Gama' . .  at a price

    petchj is right.

Look at this video : https://youtu.be/luwvWRZIu1w

I've used a horizontal wipe transition to make the trick but I've inserted it between the 2 images that were on the same video track, then I've extended its duration.

On the left the image without the line and on the right the image with the line :

Between them the wipe transition :

That's an awesome simple way to create that effect.  Never thought of that.

Depending on the "heading" of the line, you may use horizontal, vertical or diagonal wipe.

I should have written wipe and not swipe.

They are located in Standard, 2D Transitions : Wipe left, Wipe right, Wipe down, Wipe up, ...
