st22ult-- considering buying;does pan and zoom work reliably in 22?

9 out of 10 times p and z simply blows up the app for me in every kind of project w/ st21.5 ult . SInce with 4k I am cropping a lot more, this is something that I might spring for.

also, i notice, i got an email solicitation from pinnacle for 69 , but when I clicked it was 99 .

Since P&Z doesn't blow up my PS21 regularly, how could I give you an advice ?

However, you can safely purchase it at Corel estore and take benefit of their 30 days money back garantee in case it still doesn't behave correctly on your machine.

Which Pan and Zoom are you using?  I use the traditional(Red & Green Box) Pan & Zoom by right clicking on the clip on the timeline and selecting Pan and Zoom.  Never had a problem with that one.  I've had issues with the new Pan & Zoom that uses the timeline editor.

i get to the pan and zoom that blows up by clicking the clip, clicking editor and it among the lit of options displayed horizontally. the  add on Effect autopan  never blows up ,  but I find that it is more cumbersome to crop and zoom than p and z ( when it works; I 'll get one shot , if that, then next  one blow up, til I have to re-boot)).

I have a similar problem in Studio 20, where animated pan/zoom is very buggy.

I figured out, that if pan/zoom is done on a 'solo' scene, it works fine, but if the scene is part of a longer media file, it is very buggy.

This works for me - mark in and out the clip, export with 'Same as Timeline' and replace the clip with the new one.
