    pinnacle studio 12.1

    how do i get the video files off of the CD (NOT DVD) so i can make a video with them?

    made the CD with pinnacle in 2005 

    Pinnacle? no

    Winxdvd ripper? no

    Corel DVD movie factory? no

    on a win 7/64 laptop

    Have you tried capturing your video directly from  your disc.

    Your screenshot is showing a VCD folder structure.

    Audio and video datas are stored into MPEGAV folder. There should be some AVSEQ01.DAT, AVSEQ02.DAT, ... files.

    Copy/paste them with Windows Explorer from the CD to your hard drive + rename them in .mpg.

     

    You're amazing anon  ! In the same week you're asking how to rip a Blu-ray and a VCD. There is a huge gap in history of video disks between these 2 technologies !  Big Smile

    that worked . is mpg the best option, it was a tiny video size- probably originally that way

    VCD is a 25 years old format.

    Codec : Mpeg1

    Resolution : 

    NTSC : 352×240

    PAL/SECAM : 352×288

    Only 4/3

    I wonder how it would look like on a 4K modern TV !
