Questions about render speeds in different NLEs

    Hi,

I wasn't really sure where to post this as it's not directly related to Pinnacle Studio per se... May be the mods can move it if it would sit better anywhere else?

I used to use Cyberlink Powerdirector 15, and that rendered pretty quickly. Switching to Studio 21U seemed to get even better render times for similar content.

I've also used CVS X10.5 and that used to take an age to render - not even in the same ballpark as the 2 above, but with CVS 2018 the render engine has apparently been improved. Does anyone here have a real-world comparison of Studio 21U vs CVS 2018 - and does anyone know if Corel has used the same render engine in both?

    Random questions, I know!

Using the same render engines, I'm sure it's not exact.

According to PCMag, Pinnacle has had the fastest rendering time out of all the consumer editors. That includes VS, PD, Elements, MEP, and Vegas Movie Studio. And PS is not just faster by a little bit, but by a lot.

They have no tests with VS2018 yet.
