Thanks a bunch. I got notified today when I opened Studio , but when I clicked on the 'Go Get It' button, I got an error message that Studio couldn't find the link (what????) Your post was a BIG help, thanks again.

Does it work? I have had a star-crossed relationship with their patches, and would like to read user feedback before I execute the patch...BTW, my dad was from Lowell, remember going there as a kid...many, many, many years ago!

Yes, it works.

I got the patch this morning and have been using it all day. It definitely works. It fixed all the issues I had.  

Great! Hope it works well. Just started the update and it requires you to be already patched to 20.5 so you will need to download that if you aren't current. Off to install it all now.

In terms of responsiveness it's as good as pre 20.5 and that's great. No issues making adjustments/adding effects in the editor and it not playing back as you preview it. 

However, in the Corrections>Enhance section again there are a couple of issues. If you try sliding the brightness or contrast sliders first then you get stepping of the adjustment and it will go slightly bright and dark in each step while making adjustments in the negative or positive.But if you move another adjustment slider these top two become smooth and work properly again. No problem with the panel disappearing. That seems to be fixed now. 

Scaling and cropping works better than before, nowhere near as laggy as it was.

So it's really looking good apart from those two small items I've found so far and I can live with that. Great job.

I have Version 20.5.0.295
The installation of the patch stops, because the version 20.5.0.297 (!) is necessary.
The installer suggests, to to download the correct 20.5.0.297
I did it ... and installed it
The result .... Version 20.5.0.295 !!!

What an nonsense.
Pleas tell me, how to get a version 20.5.0.297 ?
I tried a download from declic, result is also a 20.5.0.295.

You can also answer me on my email  xxx@yyy.zzz

I had downloaded the 20.5.0 from declic-site and installed it.

The result was the same as from installer 20.6.0 , which suggested to download prior the correct 20.5.0.297

After installation studio prompted with 20.5.0.295 and installation of 20.6.0 failed.

I think, there is a bug during correcting the registry, there where also all entries 20.5.0295
After MANUAL correction of the entries in the registry the installation runs without error-messages.
But I dont know, that all modules are really correct installed .....

I installed the new patch over the previous one I had (20.5.0) and I did not encountered any problems at all. 

Try re-downloading the new patch to see if you may have better luck. 

You may want to check what version of PS20 you have right now. I think it should be under the help file and select "about". 

Same situation here, installer for 20.6 fails and requests download of .297 which I completed and installed, then we go round the same loop again! PS shows version 295. 

The only thing I can think of is to uninstall PS20 and install it again with patch 20.5 and then the new patch. Maybe something got corrupted.

In case it helps check that nothing has "gone wrong" (and you have somehow ended up with an incorrect/older version of the patch file) - the 20.5 update patch file that worked for me when I upgraded from 20.2 a while back has the following properties (shown when right-clicking in Windows Explorer):

• File size: 851 MB (892,413,064 bytes)
• Digital signatures (both signed by Corel) have the following time stamps: sha1: ‎18 ‎April ‎2017 13:38:19, sha256: ‎18 ‎April ‎2017 13:38:30

I no longer have the original patch update to 2.05 on disk . . .  but the patch which claims to update to .297 has exactly the same attributes as culpanr refers to but did that update to .295 or .297? Is this a 32 /64 bit error somewhere?

For all of people with the 20.5.0.295 vs 20.5.0.297 issue : Pinnacle has released a very specific "patch" to upgrade from 295 to 297 : http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFiles/Studio_20/PinnacleStudioPatch_20.5.0.295-20.5.0.297.exe

But, until now, it seems that this solution doesn't work.

In such a case, unisntall PS20 + reinstall from Pinnacle-Installer.exe. You will get directly PS20.6.

Explanation : 

For a very limited time (a few hours) after the PS20.5 patch release, the version delivered was 20.5.0.295. When Pinnacle realized their mistake they replaced the file by the correct 20.5.0.297 version. That's why they released the incremential 295->297 patch just for these users.

Would you test it and report if it worked for you ?

I opened pinnacle studio 20 U yesterday afternoon and got the messsage to update. After doing this and installing it, I checked the version number and it was 20.6.0.322 which is what I have now when checking the version in the program. Has anyone else that updated recently also got this version number?

...yes....

20.6.0.322 is the release version of PS20.6.
