    Export error

I just finished a video which is 1 hour and 24 minuets long, I went to MAKE MOVIE to make a Blu-Ray Disc and I get this:

    EXPORT ERROR: real time

    h:\render/a journey on the longships

    2c0c022e\dvd\studiosequence\temp

If I try to make a file I get this error:

    EXPORT FAILURE (Render error)

    0/152856@00:00:00.00

    [00:00:00.00-01:24:55.06

Please help for I spent endless hours to put this together. On the timreline it plays normally.

This means that rendering never starts, or iow it stalls on frame 0 of a total of 152856 frames.

Zoom in on the TL as close as possible and see if there is anything unusual at the start of the project.

    Re: Export error

I copied about 15 mins. of the video into a new project and it renders as files with no problem. I'll do this to the rest of my video, 15 mins each to see if there is a clip that is giving me problem

    Re: Export error

    Thanks for the feedback.

My next suggestion would have been to copy the whole timeline into a new project.

You might want to try that; If it doesn't work you can allways fall back to your 15 mins method.

    Re: Export error

I'm curious as to which version of Studio you're using.  Ever since I upgraded to Studio 20, it's been giving me EXPORT problems.

    Re: Export error

I'm using Pinnacle S15... I've found the problem!!! For this specific project I used some of the video from my phone together with the ones from my camcorder. One of the phone clips somehow was corrupted and that made the entire video not render. By doing the 15 mins. rendering I was able to identify the corrupted clip.

Thanks everyone for your input, and Happy New Year!

    Re: Export error

Glad to read you were able to finish the project.

Does that phone happen to shoot variable framerate? Is it a iPhone?

I can imagine that a legacy Studio version such as 15 has problems with variable framerate.

    Happy New Year.

    Re: Export error

my phone is a Motorola Moto G 3rd gen that shoots at 1080p. I usually don't have any problem in fact I had many clips from the phone intertwined with clips from my camcorder that shoots at 1080i with no problem, it just that one clip that for some reason gave me problem. Again thanks.

In response to your question above: Yes, my phone shoots variable framerate. I noticed some clips are 30.35fps, some are 22.70, some are 17.84fps, any idea why is that, and what I can do to make it right?

As I mentioned before my phone is a Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen.)

    Re: Export error

The smartphone adapts the footage bitrate depending on light conditions. It lowers the bitrate when their is low light. That's something PS15 can't handle.

Some converters like Avidemux, Handbrake or Mediacoder could transform the footage to a fixed framerate video.

Don't know about the others but Handbrake is free, it is fast, it exports great quality, it supports queueing.

Thanks Saby for the enlightenment. Now I know what's going on with my phone. I was ready to buy another for I thought there was something wrong with it.

Recent versions of Studio (19 or 20) have been designed to support iPhones vraiable framerate videos.
