    recovered video files

I have managed to recover several video files from an SD card. I can play them all in Windows Media Player, however PS19 cannot and displays the red video file in the library. Is there anything I can use to convert these damaged files so PS can handle them?

This might be obvious to some but I cannot think of a way to do this

    Thanks

Please post a screenshot of what Mediainfo says about your files.

Why not try to convert them using free Handbrake.

Something is wrong : duration of the video is 7 s 20 ms but the video stream is only 504 ms and the audio stream only 868 ms !

    Re: Re:recovered video files

Does anyone have an idea as to why the files play in Windows media player but will not work in PS19?

    Re: Re:recovered video files

Interestingly, I have had some time to play around some more with the these files. It seems that another video program can handle the files and has produced usable although not perfect files for me to work on, enough though to create  the scenes I had lost in the first place.

I would still be interested as to why PS can't handle these files...

I gave you one possible reason.

    Re: Re:recovered video files

Ah, so your comment about the timings that are not right, affects PS and not the other video program. It's a shame that PS can't handle this file like the other program. That has helped me alot.
