    Dazzle DVC 170

I found a Dazzle DVC 170 at a local thrift store and cannot make it work.

It shows up as a device in device manager, but I am having issues installing the drivers and having the device to show up in my video programs.  I am trying to use it in conjunction with OBS.

All that came with my purchase from the thrift store was the unit itself - no install discs or packaging.

Do I need a specific program in order for the device to operate with Windows 10?

Are there drivers that work for Windows 10 with this device?

If a specific program or product key is needed, is there a way to obtain those things with my secondhand purchase?

Thank you in advance for your help.

There is no driver available for 32bits OS. Check out this page.

I guess you mean that there is no driver available for 64-bit.

    Re: Dazzle DVC 170

But assuming there was a driver for this that would work, would I need additional software or just the drivers?  I have another computer that is still on XP, would the driver be all I needed to theoretically get it to work on XP?

    Re: Dazzle DVC 170

    You need a software.

The driver is just an interface between the hardware and the OS.

    Re: Dazzle DVC 170

I understand that, I mean do I need  specific software provided by pinnacle in order to make this device operational?

Or as long as I have a driver will it work with software not provided by the company?

Is the software / hardware that came in the original packaging all necessary for this device to work, or will the device work on its own provided it has the correct drivers on a compatible operating system?

It should work with software not provided by Pinnacle.

I suggest you try Virtualdub or AmCapture.
