There is yet another bug in Studio 18.6.

When a 3D Blu-ray disc has been authored, the resultant disc cannot be played in 3D.  The 3D blu-ray player fails to recognise the disc as being in 3D and consequently only plays it in 2D.  I have managed to verify that the video file itself is indeed a full 3D image.  The disc seems to be lacking whatever flag is required to be on it to signal to a player that it is a 3D disc.  This is true for both side-by-side 3D and for Multistream 3D.

Playing the disc on a PC based player such as PowerDVD works, but PowerDVD plays the stream file based on its content and not what the disc claims to contain.

I noticed this problem with my panasonic player BDT 120. multistream engraved discs are read in 2D.

Same problem for Cyberlink PowerDVD.

I can read the STREAM folder with 3D Stereoscopic Player.

I'm on vacation right now and I will follow this issue as soon as possible to Corel / pinnacle.

I stand corrected.  PowerDVD will not play the 3D disc in 3D when it is played as a disc.  I correctly renders the 3D when it is pointed directly to the 3D video stream file. 

I have tried both the multistream and side-by-side 3D discs in several 3D blu-ray players.  None automatically picks up the disc as a 3D disc.  This makes multistream 3D discs impossible to play, but side-by-side can be played by manually selecting side-by-side on the TV   

I notice that less than two months after I paid for Studio 18 that a new version has ben released (had I known I would have waited).

Is there any information on whether this new version correctly authors 3D discs?

AFAIK, nothing new in PS19 about authoring of 3D disks.

Making of workable BD disk (it work on DVD disk to:)) - 

Use  1. Disk - 2. AVCHD2 multistream (NOT Bluray) 3, Create size SD card to 32GB (you will not use it:)) -  3. In Advanced make changes to make a file about 21 GB max size. 4. Create image 6. Burn BDMV folder using nero and you have a 3d bluray disk, also with 3d menu
