    no IRQ driver selected

I have used Studio 15HD Ultimate for years now and am tired of wasting hours trying to find ways to re install it when stuff like "No IRQ  Selected" presents itself .  If I only would have purchased the DVD instead of the download version I'd be okay.  SO WHAT DO THINK ABOUT STUDIO 16 ?  Does it perform as good as 15 ?  I would buy the DVD version so re installation would be a snap.  What say you?

Well, PS16 is not available from Pinnacle. They are up to PS17. And if you want to get it, do not bother with the HD version. You'll hate it. The Plus or Ultimate are the way to go.

As for the IRQ problem, I vaguely remember it and thought there was something that would work.

Colour is the resident legacy expert, maybe he can help.

OMG I just installed a new PS17 Ultimate and I absolutely hate it !   Got it from B&H Photo NY.  I am sending it back for whatever refund I can get !  I don't care what it takes I want to get back to the way PS15 performed !   17 is so foreign to me that I am scared to even explore it !  Is 16 more similar to 15 ?  Please Help me

No. S16 is the same core Program as S17, with the same User Interface..

With more features and capability, PS16/17 are more complex than legacy Studio. But, like anything, it is up to you if you want to go complex or simple in editing with the product. There are many instructional videos online that you can watch that will get you up to speed rather quickly. And for many, once they get used to the ability to do what they want to in video editing, they don't look back on S15. I had S15, and while a good product, it was too limiting for me in editing. Having to constantly figure out how to use the limited number of tracks without having to export and then import a clip.

But, if you only want to edit basics with an easy to use program, S15 is fine. Just don't write of PS17.

But if you are going to take it back, there is no need for me to post tutorials....

    Re: no IRQ driver selected

God Bless you guys !!  I will stick with S15.  Only probelm now is- and was before- I have no way of re downloading S15 cause of the maze I'm faced with while trying to recover my original purchase location.  I think the last time this type of thing happened someone on this forum offered me a download from an S15 they had but here again I don't know who it was. Also I think I remember them saying that it was a once an done thing, so I'm stuck without the ability to continue making my bear movies that I show to shutins.

Colour, I've tried the fix you posted prior to this and it didn't help so I went to the re download suggestions but as I said can't find my original purchase location from which to obtain the digital software. Please keep helping me with further suggestions.

If you look in your private messages, you will find the links.

Why on earth didn't you make a backup when you downloaded them last time??? To quote the PM I sent you " Once you have them, copy them somewhere safe before trying to run the exe file".

This time, after the 4 hour download, burn them to a DVD, label it and put it somewhere you can find it. Wink
