Hi all,

I have a issue where my audio sounds awful, as if one is talking under water. During playback, while editing or after export to mpeg4 and any other format. 

The audio is fine when played outside of pinnacle 17 U, eg VLC Divx players etc

Type of file I am importing to Pinnacle is AVCHD .mts from Sony HDR AX2000E also some of the audio came in via PA system through XLR cable to the Sony ax2000e 

 Also MP4 from Go Pro when I use zoom on mp4 the video quality is not usable.   

 

I do hope one of you knowledgeable people can help me out here

I have updated patch for 17

I am running

HP Envy Desktop 

Windows 8.1

i7 4770 CPU @ 3.40ghz

16gb RAM

64 bit operating system

2 tb harddrive

Without having a sample of your video, I have no way of knowing if it is at your end or PS17 that is at fault. What was the audio recorded at? Digital Dolby? Something else? As for GoPro Hero2, never had a problem with audio.

I will double check audio recording settling but normally Dolby / stereo will check. 

Go Pro Hero 3 plus black, audio perfect but when use zoom effect in PS17 the video visual is wavy just not watch able.   

It is weird how the video will play no problem in other software but in PS 17 sounds weird hence i think its PS 17. I am going to also try it in PS16 as well tomorrow.

it seems to be fine if i export in DIVX HD well it its the best so far 

I think it could be the ps17 update I installed that's causing these issues. As most of these issues came about after it was installed.

 How do I go about removing the update ???

I watched the video and do not have an answer for you. It's not an audio issue since it plays back fine. It's a video issue.

Now, if you can upload a sample to you Box account that everyone gets for free, I will render it out and see if I get the same results. 

When you post that link, include your Project, Timeline, and Export Settings. I read way too much stuff here to try and remember even what day it is!

Sorry Tony for the confusion caused. Just to narrow it down. 

Depending on the way I export my project depends on the result I am getting.

Export as MPEG 4 I get two results 1) being audio fine but video is in slow motion. 2) Video in slow motion and a long black frame at the start but not always.   Eg. Mpeg 4 https://vimeo.com/89179816

Export as AVI file the audio is bad example is from 000.18 roughly not from the start intro Eg.https://vimeo.com/89176446

The strange thing I cant remember if it all happened after installing the Patch or not, but reading the patch is meant to solve similar issues I am experiencing which I did not have a issue with in the first place.

A link to source video would help. Looking at the failed export video does not help me to see if I replicate it. Now, if I had source video and all your settings, I could see if I get the same results.

Ok... watching the video and my one brain cell slowly getting some speed, I see you are in PAL land. In NTSC land, I have never had any issues. It seems that surprisingly, issues with black frames and such in exported video are in the realm of PAL. I have no answer, but have heard that there might be something coming down the road.... hopefully soon.

Ok I reinstalled PS 17 Ultimate and tested each new patch as I installed them to see if I had a issue with any.

The only problem I have now is when I export in mpeg 4.

 What happens is black screen with audio for first few moments and then video in slow motion but audio is fine. 

If export in any other format like MKV etc its perfect. So it comes down to mpeg 4.

Any suggestions
