    Upgrade to 17 question

I use Pinnacle Studio 16 plus.
Someone said that Pinnacle Studio 17 plus does Not allow Blu-ray authoring.
    Reading the Specifications here...

    http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/upgrade/studio/specifications.html

    it says.. Export Formats

    • AVCHD™, BD Blu-ray™, DVD (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R or DVD+RW, dual layer); 3D: DVD, AVCHD™, AVCHD2 (incl. MVC), Blu-ray™

    I need some clarification here.

No Blu-ray in 17 plus would surly be a step backward..

Click on the 'Compare' tab in your link, it blue ray disk authoring is only available in the Ultimate version.

Yes, that "Compare" sheet is correct.  The features were updated for Studio 17, and Blu-Ray was removed from Plus version.  I tend to agree that such a change is similar to introducing a bug - in that it's a regression from previous version.  But, if it were up to me, I'd be giving a lot more away.

    Sorry for the bad news.

it's a regression from previous version

.......................and - the biggest regression is S17 Standard prominently displayed on Pinnacle Home Page Banner Advert Indifferent

I would have thought that Corel would have taken note of the criticisms Posted on the Forum regarding S16 Standard & discontinued it. Apparently not Super Angry

"You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time", applies here.

BTW - I believe there's a Corel statement, stating that PS 17 is for Semi-Pros & Pros. Recommending Corel Video Studio for Beginners. Not S17, as per the Advert.
