    Dazzle DVC100

Trying to use this device on a machine with Win 7, downloaded the 64 bit driver.  All goes well, I get to the menu and I cannot type in the minutes to record and it will not let me record without this.  Capture source also only has Pinnacle File Capture.  This device worked fine on my old machine (that was over a year ago), but now I cannot get past the "recording" window where it asks for minutes.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Hey there TK,

I have the same unit and just found the drivers (why are they under a link named Vista????).  Anyway, I will try installing them and let you know if I have the same problem or not...  Now I just have to find a manual or cheat sheet on how to best use it.....

    Take care,

    Fletcher

    Re: Dazzle DVC100

Ok, so now I have the drivers installed.  I think I found the program you are using - AMCAP as it also asks me to indicated how many MB.  Of course, since I am doing an import from a video camera, I have no idea how many MB I need.  And it says that the max is 25000 (25 gb) and yet I have much more space than that.  But it does allow me to enter a value (even if it might not be enough space...)

When I try to import via Studio 15, I can get what I need.  So I assume you don't have any of the Studio products.

     Any thoughts?

On mine it seems everything is there regarding the program, it will just not allow me to put in the amount of recording time I want when transfer from video camera to either disc or hard drive. I do not use any Studio products.

Hi T.Kroll, check if the Dazzle driver is properly installed on the Device Manager under sound audio and video controller, you should have 2 entry one for video and audio. If not reinstalling the driver might work.

In Device Driver I do not have anything with Pinnacle.  Under programs I have three:  P Bender64; P Instant DVD Recorder and P Video Driver.

    Re: Dazzle DVC100

Didn't show anything because I did not have the Dazzle plugged in, with it plugged in I show two Dazzle DVD video and audio.  But I still cannot get the minutes to record to function and without that, I cannot record as it says to set this feature......

Did read somewhere that you need to turn on the video camera, let it run then set the time....but that does not make sense, probably should try anyway.

    Re: Dazzle DVC100

Also, something else curious, in the menu under the first item Selected Capture Source, if I change it to option Dazzle DVD100 it locks up the whole thing. I cannot stop the program from searching and cannot close the program, have to Restart the computer.
