    Is my system too slow?

    When I am in movie view and zoom in and out or change the interface it goes slow  with media in it. NemoCheck says my system i fast??? /Rolle

    My computer: hp Elitebook 8530w. Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9400 @ 2.53GHz, 2.53 Ghz, Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB, NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, E-MU E-DSP Audio Processor (WDM), E-MU 1616m PCI Audio device, Samsung SyncMaster 243T Monitor, Windows 7 X64 professional.

    I would guess it depends on what type of video files you are working on. How about a more detailed description of what you are doing and what type of files you are using.

    +1 to what Tony says.  IMO, I think you will always be sacrificing power and speed when editing on a notebook.  Are you taking a look at your memory in task manager?  4 gigs is ok for just running a windows system.  I would recommend at least 8 if you are going to edit or do other taxing things.  If your pc is using up your ram it is going to start to use the pagefile of your hard disk as memory which will be dreadfully slow.
