    clips shrinking

I am using Avid studio for iPad. I have problems with clips from my camera (sony nex 5n, Mp4). When I am adding this clip to timeline, it has normal resolution 16:9, but when I want to ad anything to it... Text or picture in picture, this clip shrinks horizontally to 4:3 (is deformated). Clips from iPhone are working without problems...

When I try iMovie, there is no problems with clips from Nex...

    Hi,

Once the clip deformated, double-click it. In the Video propreties window can't you fix your issue with Standard, Widescreen or Fullscreen icon ?

No, I can't fix it... I have tried to encode all clips in the same way, but with a half of clips I get deformated result... Any idea?

    Re: Re:clips shrinking

Tomas, I figured out what the problem was. It's the non-square pixels of your video. It appears that we have an issue related to this kind of media. I converted your file into a 720p with square pixels, and it works flawlessly now. As a temporary workaround, you could do that for your other files and start editing.
