Hi Guys try can you try these steps and post back results.

1.       1.Browse to Avid\Studio\programs\pcleMPEGBox.ax.  Here are the default locations for 32 and 64 bit Windows versions:

     32 Bit: C:\Program Files\Avid\Studio\programs\pcleMPEGBox.ax

     64 Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Studio\programs\pcleMPEGBox.ax

2.       2.Locate pcleMPEGBox.ax and rename it to pcleMPEGBox.ax _old

3.       3.Download the file pcleMPEGBox.zip

4.       4.Open pcleMPEGBox.zip and extract pcleMPEGBox.ax to the location described in Step 1

5.       5.Browse to Avid\Studio\plugins\export\XPMMPEG.xpm   .  Here are the default locations for 32 and 64 bit Windows versions:

      32 Bit: C:\Program Files\Avid\Studio\plugins\export\XPMMPEG.xpm  

      64 Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Studio\ plugins\export\XPMMPEG.xpm  

6.      6. Locate XPMMPEG.xpm   and rename it to XPMMPEG.xpm _old

7.       7.Download the file XPMMPEG.zip

8.       8.Open XPMMPEG.zip and extract XPMMPEG.xpm  to the location described in Step 5

9.       9. Re-launch Studio and try to export again.

I was able to export a 30gig file after applying the hotfix.

 Thanks, there is still a lot more work with some other show stoppers. I would prefer quick hot fixes like this for us to test, especially if the end result is a better update in the future.

Performed the above fix.

Worked great on a 15.6Gb file.  I exported a 1080i project file into 1080i .mpg format.  This had previously been hanging at 1round 3.9Gb.

However it did NOT work when I exported the same 1080i project file to a 1080p .mpg file.  It hung at 20.526 Gb.

Any additional fixing I need to do?

Could be a hard disk drive that's running full.

Just a funny ole outside thing, is the drive formated NTFS or Fat32? Remember Fat32 has a file size limitation of 4gig as well.

 Also, make sure you applied the 4 gig work around patch.

I applied the fix to Avid Studio last night for a 1080i HDV2 file, total size 10G+ and it worked. Before the fix, the export had stopped at about 3.9G.

Interesting to note, the downloaded files were dated Feb 22, which was after Raff detailed how to get them. So I'm thinking they've been updated since he first told us.
