Hello everyone. My pinnacle program got some issues. There is no video or sound in the preview window. I recently deleted my file extensions, and I think this is the problem. Please show me how to resolve this issue asap. Thank you.

You didn't say which file extensions you deleted. Were they within Studio?

You might try doing a repair install as a first measure.

Can you go to your recycle bin and put them back ? 

Just to clarify, is this happening on all video or audio you use in Studio, do you get the same result using the sample footage.

I'm having the same problems with my project, the video works part of the time but sometimes my Studio completely stops responding. Sample footage works fine..both audio and video..

You did not mention what file extension you deleted.

I didnt delete any..?

Sorry that is meant for the OP, what Studio version are you using, what is your project format? are you editing SD or HD.

Haha oh my bad. I'm using Studio 12 Plus, AVI, SD. I am very new to this lol

How long is the AVI? check both background rendering and enable hardware under audio and video preferences.

When you say the video works part of the time, what do you see on the preview, do you get black screen, out of sync, etc. can you describe in detail what is happening on your project.

It's about 4:30 minutes long. Both background rendering and enable hardware are checked. The video worked once today, every other time i get a black screen with no audio but the time bar moves as if the video is being played. Everything worked fine until i was working on the credits last night and I have not made any progress since then. Once I try to do anything in studio after playing and getting nothing in the preview screen, studio begins getting laggy and then stops responding all together. When I try to close studio is says that it cannot shut down properly and I have to close it through task manager..

 

Btw..I have tried repairing the program through the disk, rebooting my laptop, and restarting studio.. 

Its difficult to say at this point where is the fault,but it looks like its with the video itself, where did you get this video, does the problem occurs using our sample footage?
