    Online video is sure fickle.

It's funny I can spend tons of hours on a video, get it just perfect, couldn't be better and then no one watches it. And then I can spend literally 5 minutes on the worst piece of crap video I ever made and it gets a thousand hits the first day. This is one fickle business and quality doesn't often buy you much. Here's my crappy video shot on the worst cell phone made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLKabmwVGqs

Yep!  I concur with your entire premise...including the crappy hailstorm video!  Super Angry  Happens to all of us, I think.

It all comes down to the title. Try something like "Nude Celeb" instead. That'll get a few hits. Devil

In all seriousness, it's not the best videos that get the hits. It's the ones that are either way out there, or contain questionable subject matter, or are of wide interest (e.g. the hailstorm) that get all the hits. Good videos with limited scope gt overlooked (you can make the best sailing video in the world, but only people who sail are likely to ever see it). On the other hand, cats being flung off of ceiling fans go viral in short order (and before anyone comments on animal cruelty, it was a composite!)
