I have just tried to purchase the AMC4 upgrade at the Avid web site and when entering the code get the error, ' Given coupon can not be applied to your cart because its value is to large'

What do I do now, panic?

I notice on the second page the coupon seems to have been applied, I'll go with that and see what happens.

He is in Europe, so maybe his web store has some stock.  The North American one is supposed to be restocked as of today.  Give it a try again, or if it still isn't working, PM either Marianna or Todd (BLKDG).

Still out of stock.  Why must a customer try over and over and over and over again to place an order?  Doesn't AVID want my business, both now and for all those future upgrades?

I made the purchase at these web pages which are at the UK related site. Good luck with your purchase, the offer must be going well in the USA. I don't really need such an advanced software (yet) which is why I have been hanging on but for future computer builds Liquid cannot utilise new hardware etc.

The US Avid webstore is again stocked up!  I ordered mine earlier today...

They had 21 more back in stock a few minutes ago, and I finally got mine!

 I just tried to purchase the mc4 with my coupon code but it will not let me order it. It states is is out of stock. I thought the us emails stated that they would have enough stock through the duration of the sale. Anyhow, I know you will take care of it and ensure that we are able to purchase the product at the $495. Please let us know what we need to do to make this happen.

Instead of her if you are in the USA. She is swamped with emails. There is a known problem with the promo codes and the Avid store will fix it.

If you are in Europe and are having problems, send an email to:

Thankfully I am past the promo codes problem (I received two, a month or so apart, it was the first one that actually worked in my case)

I have my upgrade sitting beside me. When I entered the System ID and MC5 serial number the senario I have posted earlier unfolded. It's getting late, I will try again tomorrow, I sense I am beginning to chase my tail. Thanks for your efforts to help, if your link relates to the promotion code, it is not really the problem I am having, I notice on the Avid forum at least one person had the same issue.

I had received two emails with two promo codes, neither of them worked.

I have no list. If you have sent Marianna an email you can bet she will sort it out. Give her a little time though, she is swamped with similar requests (hundreds of them). Too many people waited until the last minute to order and there was also a problem with wrong promo codes. She is trying to work her way through the pile. You will get your copy of MC. Post back here when it gets sorted out.

I have another question they could not answer.  Will I still be able to use Liquid 7, in addition to MC?

I would not wait. I would send an email to the Avid store ASAP. If they do not fix it for you, then contact Marianna.

Yes, you can still use Liquid but I caution not to put it on the same install of XP as MC as that can cause registration problems with Liquid and may require you to reinstall Liquid after you install MC. They both make use of the Pixie file registration system and an install of MC can unregister Liquid and put it in demo mode.
