Ready To Take The MC4 Plunge

Well a lot has changed in my life in the past year. My daughter has graduated from highschool and started college and I have found a woman that I am very happy with and I will be asking for her hand in marriage. So I am ready to start getting ready for this monumental moment and I am ready to start putting all my family pics and videos together along with hers. The thought behind moving to MC4 is really the Sony DVDIt. It will allow me to add subtitles, and multiple audio channels, music and narration etc. So I have a few more days to decide, so I figured I would bounce this off of everyones head here. DVDit supports Blue Ray and DVD and HDV streams from liquid.

Re: Ready To Take The MC4 Plunge

    Dave,

Thanks for that. It certainly has been an unexpected turn in my life. I have been a single parent for 19 years and never thought I would even consider marriage let alone I really have not been looking for a girl friend. I am now 38 years old and never been married, single parent of a college student and she is a single mother 37 with a 14 year old daughter. The stars and planets have just aligned and has had an awesome impact on both of our lives.

In any event the Sony DVDIt seems to be the way to go especially for compiling my family memories through the years. Especially while my mom is still a live. I want to finally take the time to compile my family tree of pictures and videos. Of course I will be able to tie in many of the family fun videos I have put together not to mention capture the most recent moments with my soon to be bride. I am make arrangements now to film the engagement at Seaport Village in San Diego. So I am trying to coordinate this so some of our friends can witness it.

Yea, you said Sony instead of Sonic! Avid DVD is Sonic DVDit ProHD.

Re: Ready To Take The MC4 Plunge

Just an update, I proposed to her on Friday June 25th and she did say "Yes". I tried to order MC4 from AVID and it said "NO". Out of stock. Hopefully they will get more before the offer ends.

Thanks for all the kind words.

It appears it can't be ordered, just tried. It nows says June 30 for stock. This is kind of silly, they should let you backorder it and fill the order when stock is available. They need to do that at least to fufill the June 30 deadline to order.

I would send Marianna an email explaining that you tried to order within the deadline but could not because of an out-of-stock problem. I suspect she will find a way to make sure you get your upgrade as long as you made a good faith effort to order within the time limit. However, waiting until the last minute is never a good idea. What is that old saying??? "You snooze, you lose."

     OK, see here.

Marianna thanks for the help. I was able to get my MC4 ordered just a few minutes ago.
