Studio 12 Ultimate / Windows 7 / and lost Transitions

     Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

     Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU    Q6600  @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz

     Memory: 4096MB RAM.

    C ; HDD 200 GB

    D : HDD 400 GB

I had everything set up in Vista Home Premium.  Because I misplaced my Recovery disk I decided to upgrade to Win 7.

I did a clean install of the os.

I installed the Studio 10 Bonus Disk and then Studio 12 Ultimate and that Bonus Disk.

    I have the following Transitions:

2D, Alpha Magic, Hollywood fx for Studio, Flying Windows, Extra Fx, Family Fun1, Fun Pack.

    The following Transitions are missing:

MFX Bundle and Holiday fx - These are available as a free download from Declic Video.

I have written to Pinnacle support.  They send back a link of their support site  which takes me to Salesforce.

Stephen from Salesforce said they do not support Pinnacle.

Pinnacle are just hopeless. I have written to them repeatedly over the last 2 weeks but they just keep sending me links.

I am unable to access Salesforce because I am unable to log in and, there does not seem to be a screen where you can register with them.

The question is simply, How do I get these Transitions back?

I am just worried I might have to buy a Vista Recovery Disk.

MESH - the Vendor want £65 plus £5 pp.

Last time I buy anything from them.

    Please advise

Also, If I have to go back to Vista can I clean Install Vista.

( This oem disk has the os on it)

    MFX Bundle and Holiday fx.
Holiday FX is part of HFX vol. 2, do you see HFX vol. 2 on the list of transition?

Re: Studio 12 Ultimate / Windows 7 / and lost Transitions

I cant find HFX1 or 2 listed as folders.

These are some of the Transitions listed in Studio12/Plugins/RTfx/HfxXML:

Wipes and Fades, Quads and Pieces, Bars, Blocks and Bevels, Particles, Basic Shapes, Doors and Borders etc., etc.

The list goes on and on.

These don't show in the list of Transitions. As I said before, I had hundreds - including Declic's.

Microsoft state that Studio 12 Ultimate is not compatible with Win 7.  Upgrade is the recommendation.

If I get Studio 14 ultimate can I get all my Transitions back ?.  Otherwise its back to a re-install of Vista.

Either way, I will have to buy a new disk of one or the other.

Ensure that you have "Show Premium content" enabled in S12: Setup / Project Preferences / Editing Environment / Show Premium Content.

After you install the PS10 bonus disc did you run the transfer content wizard again?  Check out this link.

Re: Studio 12 Ultimate / Windows 7 / and lost Transitions

    I have twice.

I also followed declic video's advice and deleted the RTFx files in both the Users and Programme folders.  There were 382 'Transitions' deleted

on re-starting Sudio 12 Ultimate there was no change. Just the standard ones. I wonder if the compatibility issue with Win 7 and The Ultimate version is to do with Transitions.

I have re-installed Studio 10.  So I have now Studio 10.8 and Bonus Disk.  Studio 12 Ultimate and Bonus Disk on my HDD.  They were installed on the default settings

If I upgrade to Studio 14 Ultimate - Win 7 - Will I get all my Transitions back ?.  Will the programme be better than what it was on Vista

Re: Studio 12 Ultimate / Windows 7 / and lost Transitions

Not sure about your other transitions, but I had difficulty getting the delic transitions to show in W7 and Studio 12. What turned out to be the problem is you have to turn off UAC in windows 7 BEFORE installing the delic transitions. Once I did this everything works fine. You can turn back on UAC once you get everything installed. Your default UAC setting might be higher then mine and thus your seeing even more problems.

Re: Studio 12 Ultimate / Windows 7 / and lost Transitions -SOLVED

Basically I uninstalled all my Studio applications - With Revo Uninstaller Pro- and manually through Explorer.

I then installed 10.6. Saw it was working and did a System Restore.

Then Bonus DVD .Saw it was working and did a System Restore.

Then 10.8  Saw it was working and did a System Restore.

    Same with Studio 12 etc.

These applications were installed through Vista.
