    wmv problem

When I try to export a file to wmv, can someone please tell me why when I open the modify present dialog box there is no advanced button that allows me to access the profile editor?

I am unable to access the custom profiles I create with the editor.  Is there some other way to do this?

    Thank you

    Re: wmv problem

You have to create encoding preset/profile in Microsoft Media Encoder
and then you can import it as Liquid preset.

    Re: wmv problem

I've created the profile with the editor.  The problem is that I don't see how to import it.  I thought I had to access it with the advanced button which I don't have.

Let me ask the question another way.  When I go to export and select wmv, then select a codec, name, and export - I get this error message: "The requested video codec is not installed on this system"  So my question is how do I install the codec(s) on my system?  They are installed on the C drive.

Incidentally, the missing advanced button is still a mystery since "help" refers to it.  But no matter - if there's a workaround I'm happy.

    Thanks

    Re: wmv problem

You have, most likely, updated to WMP 11 after your initial install of Liquid and cause of that, Liquid is looking in the uncorrect folder for the codecs.

An install of the full 7,2 file over the old app will set the shortcuts to the correct places.

    Jack,

Choose "Custom" preset and then the Advanced appears.

Very  good Jack, and Priits suggestions was also correct of course, even if Liquid searchs in the uncorrect folders, you are able to manually point to another folder and codec profile, I actually wrote an instruction about how to do it once upon a time.
