STUDIO 14, Blu Ray Discs not playing. HELP

I am now finding further problems with Stuio 14 as proviosly descibed in this thread AND STILL not resolved:-

Studio 14 - 63% Quality Limit When Burning To BD Blu-Ray Disc

I now have MORE problems as follows.
Using Pinnacle 14 I have made blu ray discs using MPEG-2 & AVC and NEITHER WILL PLAY using PowerDVD ver 7.3. ONLY the MPEG-2 will play on my Panasonic Blu ray player.
If I use Pinnacle 12.1.3.6605 and make blu ray discs as above BOTH the MPEG-2 & the AVC play perfectly on PowerDVD ver 7.3 AND Play my Panasonic blu ray player.

This is RIDICULOUS for me so now FINALLY I am asking for a refund as I simply CANNOT use this program.
I do have Pinnacle 12 which I purchased a while back and I WAS hoping that Studio 14 was going to be an improvement in HD but all I have found is very serious problems as described above & in other detailed cases listed.

Does anybody have simular problems and if so did they find a work around.

Come on PINNACLE, either fix the problems Immediately or give me my HARD earned money back.

Re: STUDIO 14, Blu Ray Discs not playing. HELP

I was looking for a thread on this and I seem to have found it.

I too am having issues with the playback of my Blu-ray disc on BOTH my Panasonic DVD player, as well as my PLAYSTATION.

The video starts ok, but ends abruptly at about 10 minutes ino the disk.

I removed the menues, and still the same issue.  Im not sure what to do now.

I bought a faster computer, and an external Blu-ray burner, and the VERY expensive disks, only to have to go back to regular DVD productions ?

     VERY UPSETTING!

I am in the same boat. I also have a copy of Studio 12 and Studio 14. Studio 14 is stuck at 63% and burning lots of expensive BluRay coasters. I want my money back. Studio12 was/is more stable than 14. Looking seriously at Adobe Primiere.

Until S14  has a patch to resolve these problems, you might want to try AVCHD output to DVD-R or DVD+R or DL. They play fine on my panasonic bluray player.

Most people on this forum say you can't tell the difference in HD quality from blueray disc to AVCHD.

You also might want to try burning your bluray dics (and even your AVCHD) with this free burning program:  www.imgburn.com

Thank you Kentuckyrandy for suggesting IMGBURN. I have tried that as follows:-

Edited a film clip in STUDIO 14 and created a disc image in BDMV (MPEG2)

I then used imgburn to burn a BD disc and EXACTLY the same thing happens when I try to play the disc using PowerDVD ver 7.3 AND ver 9, IT WILL NOT PLAY and states DISC WITH UNSUPPORTED FORMAT.

So my ONLY conclusion is that PINNACLE 14 has a serious problem / bug.  How do other people get around this as I cannot view the Blu ray movie made by Studio 14 yet everthing is FINE with Studio 12. as stated above.

The support representative for Australia contacted me a couple of weeks ago regarding the 63% and this issue and should be reprting back to me by the 1st March hopefully with a solution.

I will let this forum know what happens which I do hope they can solve now, but if not the I really want my money back.

    Cheers all

    Chris N:

What I want to know, AND I am certain I speak for a lot of people is:-

"WITH SO MANY PEOPLE REPORTING PROBLEMS WITH STUDIO 14 THAT WORKED ABSOLUTLY FINE ON STUDIO 12 WHY HAS PINNACLE NOT ADDRESSED THESE OBVIOUS BUGS / FAULTS IMMEDIATELY. WHAT IS THERE PROBLEM."

I am basically sitting here with a program I cannot use until they decide to issue an update. If I didnt know better its as if the PINNACLE TECHNICIANS are away on a years holiday or they use a thid party to do their programming. WHY THE DICKENS CANT WE HAVE UPDATES AS OFTEN & IMMEDIATELY AS A PROBLEM OCCURS.

Yeh, I know its a forum, but you would also expect Pinnacle teckies to be on call to help, their call center & help tickets are really either useless, too slow or simply dont solve the problems, LOOK HOW LONG THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HANGING AROUND.

Sorry Pinnacle, I really want Studio 14 to work, so make a big effort to get these issues sorted NOW, BECAUSE in the end its your name & product at stake.

    Cheers all
