    Widescreen monitor and Liquid

I use two 19" TFT monitors at the moment.

I would like to know how the Liquid interface looks if I change to a large (24" or bigger) single widescreen monitor.

Do the inlay screens look the correct aspect?

What happens if you select the full screen mode?

Will a 16:9 preview fill the screen?

I use since a long time a 26" monitor. Splendid. Be sure to have the proper connector (is it 21 pins???). Not sure, but the "old" type connector could produce less quality, I guess.

Yes, the preview is in 16x9 also marvelous.

I recently purchased a 24" 1920 X 1200, have it connected VGA (only way I can do it with my KVM switch using two computers on the same keyboard, monitor and mouse) and it works great.  I went from a 21" and could not believe the difference in size.

    Thanks ,

Does it matter if the screen size is 16:10 or 16:9, and if the resolution is 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080?

The ACER 26" widescreen I have, is probably 16x9. The movies look that way (full screen).

Someone pointed out that with a 1920 X 1200, you can play a full HD movie while still having room for  toolbar, etc. at the bottom.  I wouldn't know, because I haven't tried it.

You want the 1920 by 1280 monitor. Otherwise you will lose vertical resolution over what you likely have now. That vertical space helps with multiple tracks.

That's interesting John - I knew that you needed to go 1920 by 1200 (24" rather than 22") to be able to use the vertical pixels more effectively than the old 19" "square" screen - but I hadn't heard of the 1920 x 1280 resolution. With Windows 7 I have been forced to make the task bar "Autohide" with Liquid. Perhaps the 1280 would solve that ... not that I'm about to buy another screen right now but if I was ...

    Re: Widescreen monitor and Liquid

I have just ordered a Dell monitor which has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200.

Most of the other monitors I looked at were 1920 x 1080.

Is it possible to buy a monitor with 1920 x 1280 resolution?

    You'll love the 1920X1200 monitor.
