    double files

Hallo to everybody, I got a very strange case here: On the timeline I got two files: The first is an avi of 3.9 Gb and the second is an avi of 300 mb. Well, when I try to make a movie in DivX the studio 14 dosen't combine the to files to a movie but it make to separete files of 3.9 Gb and 300 Mb.... like they was at the begining. Can someone tellme why? Thank you, Lino

Just wanted to make sure I understood correctly, are you saying that you get 2 files after S14 completes this project's encoding?

    Re: double files

Correct! I put two avi files on the timeline and when I check for the movie (encoding in DivX) I got to different files with same size as the originals but with different names: Also studio 14 dosen't make one movie but two movie with names like "filmname.avi" and "filmname.1.avi"

Just to make sure the basics are covered, you wouldn't be using a fat32 file system on your computer would you?

    Re: double files

What is the video format of the these raw videos? Could you supply us with a simple recipe, I'd like to reproduce this and see if I can get to the bottom of it.

    Re: double files

I imported två files from a digital recorder from Sony. I think this files are in format mpg but I am not shure becouse it is not posssible to view the recorder harddisk. I imported them in St14 in Avi format and I hade no problems. I have done this many times. Then I edited them on the timeline and encoded them to Divx but I got two separet files as I wrote before. I try to send to you this two files next week becouse I will be away some days. Ciao, Lino
