Hi,

 

I bought a Dazzle DVD recorder to capture some footage on my PS3, I got all the cables and set it up like a few videos on the internet told me to, but when I go onto the software to record, I can't get a preview and it says just above "Start Recording" Burning error.

 

Can anyone help?

What software is it that you are using to capture?

I'm using the software that came with the dazzle, I only got one CD, a blue CD with a white band at the top and black at the sides, version 2.0

What does the label say?

On label it just says, Pinnacle INSTANT DVD Recorder

Try recording the footage to your hard drive initially instead of burning it directly to a blank DVD. Check your cabling, and make sure that you are using a powered usb port. Are you using a desktop computer or a laptop?

I already tried both, to a CD and hardrive,same error, wiring is good and I'm using a desktop computer

Are you using the rear USB ports on your desktop pc? Try removing all other USB devices (other than keyboard/mouse) when you do the capture.

I only have rear USB ports (bloomin old computer) and i only have my Dazzle in USB ports

Hmm. Hold old is this old gal? Were you able to capture fine before?

At least 10 years old, poor thing, still works fine though, I've never been able to capture, I bought the capture card new off amazon

Did you check  if your computer meets systems requirements of dazzle, here is a link to check the requirements . Check make sure dazzle is selected in the capture source, kindly  post your computer specs. here is a link to get your computer specs.
