I haven't used Pinnacle in a while but I came back to it today and I put some of my new footage in. Whenever I play it on the timeline, the video lags quite a bit. This never happened before.I know it can't be the camera because it works fine whenever I'm capturing the footage onto my computer. Also whenever I put a clip of old footage that I know for sure worked before, it lags. I tried just saving the whole project as a video just to see if the final video lagged, and it did. Also I have, googled this. The only useful answer I came up with was to turn the FPS up. But unfortunatly I don't know how to do that. Can anyone tell me how to fix this or how to at least turn the FPS up? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if I'll be able to help, but let me ask a few questions...

What version of Studio are you using?

Is that the same version as before, or did you do a Studio upgrade?

Have you started a new project, or are you working with an existing project only?  If so, delete auxiliary files and start a new project.

If old footage used to work, but no longer works, even in a new project (with no transitions or effects, just a plain video clip) then I have to ask WHAT CHANGED?  New video card?  New sound card?  Other software installed?  Any thing else you can think of that might have changed?

It MIGHT be possible that a "repair installation" of Studio might shake it up and get it back to normal.

This blast of questions in a normal first step in trouble shooting.  We have to narrow it down from an infinite number of possibilities to merely a huge number of possibilities.    Hopefully we'll get you functional again.
