I'm trying to install Studio Plus 12 and LE 7.2 on same machine so I can try making HD disks.

 LE 7.2 already installed an working on Windows XP Pro.

I did following:

1.  Installed Studio 12.

2.  Installed Winter  Pack.  The install "hung" and never finished.  I thought maybe needed to updates Windows XP Pro.

3.  Installed Windows XP Service Pack 3.

4.  Uninstalled and installed Winter Pack.  It went through OK.

5.  Reinstalled LE 7.2 update.

Here is where the problems are:

During reinstall of LE 7.2 update, I get following errors:

"mp4FileLibu.dll was not found.  Reinstalling application may solve the problem."  (this error reported twice during the procedure)

"The procedure entry point ??kMemoryCacheEx@@QAE@xz could not be located in dynamic link library cachex.dll"

I let the install continue.

LE and Studio both startup and so far run OK, but I'm sure if something is damaged and may cause a problem later.

Is anyone familiar with these errors?

Studio uses updated libraries, so I think the order of install has to be Liquid and then Studio. Uninstall both, install Liquid 7.2, and then install Studio 12 and then the Winter pack.

I've had to reinstall Liquid AFTER Studio 12. Some of the FX editors did not function correctly after the Studio install. If this did some harm to Studio, I wouldn't know, I abandoned it after that.

If I can remember correctly I had to install liquid first then studio12 if done the other way around liquid installation would not complete. I ran liquid 7 & Studio 12 (with Creatve Pack 1 & Winter pack) without any problems on my system.

Thanks for the tips.  I'll probably try to uninstall Studio and get a clean install of LE 7.2, then put back in Studio to be safe.

Out of curiosity, I opened Studio 12 on the pc that has both. There is a tendency for freeze-ups in S12 if you do certain things. When I spoke of corruption with Fx editors in Liquid, there are some, not all that were affected. As I recall, lens flare was one of them.

The best answer at this time seems to avoid installation of both on the same pc, especially version S14. Enough code seems to have been altered so as to hang the installation of Studio 14 . This can't be especially helpful to the existing Liquid install.
