    Deinterlacing in Studio 14

I have footage captured from an analog VCR in MPEG2, and I would like to know step by step how to de-interlace the footage in Studio 14, so it looks perfect when it is rendered out in MP4.  I haven't found any info related to this topic yet, and I bet everyone would like to be informed by that.  Thank you.

    Re: Deinterlacing in Studio 14

From what I have seen, Studio doesn't really "deinterlace".  Instead, it "field drops", so your (presumably) 720x480 image gets chopped to a 720x240 image, which is then line-doubled back up to 720x480, then encoded in MP4 as (say) square-pixel 640x480...

..."perfect" might be a bit much to ask.  Surprise

What steps have you taken to attempt this?
