    Newby to Studio 11

I have just gone back to the software arriving with a complete memory blank. I recall editing bits out of a fil was a breeze before. But now things have changed and I am wondering whether I have messed up a setting or the films I want to clean up have somehow been recordedthe wrong way.

    1. When I add a DVD it now occupies just one placeholder in the story line setting. Makes it awkward to clip things out of. it is very fiddly.

    2. I need to edit ( for example) 5 minutes off the front of the film. I seem to be doing the logical thing but when I put the markers in I delete the whole film and have to undo.

    3. If I trying putting markers for and aft of a bunch of commercials and dlete them, away goes thewhole film again.

I know I am doing something stupid but I seem to have lost the plot. I was so easy when I did it all bore. 50 pages of scenes I moved down to the storyline and deleted them....so easy

I hope I have explained properly. All the help I have sought from the soft ware seems to be ambiguous or full of double negatives.

You might want to change your view. Look above the timeline, and to the far right. There are several icons, and hover your mouse until you find the "timeline view". Click it, and you will have a completely new look that is probably what you are seeking.

Thank you for your offer of help. I had already tried most everything.

I have never ever suffered such unreliable software and such poor aftersales service/advice. They never get back, the various pages that are supposed to help with a ctivation will not open .

I am so ticked off with Pinnacle that I have uninstalled and binned the software.

You offer of help IS appreciated.... thanSuper AngryConfusedk you.
