i was reading some blurbs on windows movie maker, which i had thought i might use to try to edit/merge all my tapes together, and thinking i needed to put chapters on them so people could skip to a part they left off at after falling asleep from 2 hours of home movies. anyone, it said WMM didnt put chapters in that the DVD authoriing software did that. i notice that the intial xfer/recording allows us to put chapters every X mins, but that probably isnt where they need to be.
speaking of the chapter inserter, is it possible to somehow configure the program to put a chapter wherever it might detect a stop/play from the video stream? seems like when we switch settings, ie skip from easter to july 4th picnic to thanksgiving to xmas, that those breaks in filming are natural chapter heads. if the dazzle software doesnt do this, is there some other program that can be used to do something like this?
is it possible to set the dazzle xfer software to allow more time when you are copying to a hard drive rather than a dvd?
thanks.
