Brand new 64 bit Windows Vista Computer and new install of Pinnacle Studio 14 ultimate collection.   Install Pinnacle Studio and Scorefitter works perfectly as it does on my old machine with version 11.  However, after closing Pinnacle for the first time and rebooting the Computer, Scorefitter then only has a couple of Styles and a few tunes working.  Select any others and all it does is blank out the preview screen area with a long silence whilst the music should play.  Insert that track into the movie - all you get is a long silence. 
I have de-installed, defragged the hard drive and re-insatlled with exactly the same condition.

I can use any of the soundeffects with no problem.  I can insert mpegs all as before.......   HELP!

Urgent help please.......  Avid have not yet responded to the 'case'

Have you tried a repair rather than a de/re-install?

I tried a 'repair' and no change so bit the bullet and upgraded the machine to Windows 7 (64bit).

Full of anticipation, tried Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Collection v14 again ....... Scorefitter exactly the same (only 8 songs with all 'versions' work)

Decided to repair again.....  no difference.  Oh woe is me!

Before losing the Scorefitter songs, did the S14 list look any different, or provide any features, not already present in S11?

Looks identical to previous version (v11.1) which is fully working on my old machine.  In fact if you could lay the screens over each over you would not see any difference. 

The odd thing is that when preveiwing the Song/version that does not work is that the preview screen (or second monitor) goes completely blank for the time alloted in the scorefitter screen. This is accompanied by stone cold silence.   If you insert the scorefitter track into the movie, it puts a graphic panel in place correctly on the time line but has no characteristics and obviously does not play.  Quite sad for such a good piece of software in use quite a lot.

The only reason I have changed machines and invested in the new release is that I had tracked down every problem with sudden stops and freezes in v11.1 to HEAT.  My new machine is liquid cooled, 3.03 i7 quad processor, 64 bit WIN7, 6Gb Ram and a decent 1792mb Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 graphics card and the mandatory (for me) Blu-ray burner, all to make sure I do not have the same inconvenience with 'frying' the processor

My MP3 files were not associated with Windows media player.   That association has now been made and all the Scorefitter tracks now work.

 

Please remember I did say this was a new machine and dedicated for the use of Pinnacle Studio only and therefore no settings or associations had been set with any other software.
