Extending volume fade in and fade out for new users

    Extending volume fade in and fade out for new users

    This is a simplified guide on how to extend the Fade in and Fade out duration.

    1. First step is to add the audio file to the desired track.

    2. Second is to right click on the audio file in the track and make sure that "Select Volume Display" is selected or checked.

    3. Move the slider to where you want the Fade out to start.

    4. Click on Toolbox > Change Volume. Then click on the Fade out button. (See the referenced button on the attached image).

    5. You will notice two "Adjustment Handles" or commonly termed "Volume Handles".

    6. Point your mouse cursor to Volume Handle 2 and then drag it to the point where you want extend the fade out.

    7. Do the same for Fade In.

    8. Close the Audio Toolbox and preview the changes.

    A very nice tip, Mon Roy -- thanks. I'd been manually creating each handle, and this will simplify things a lot. Appreciate it.
