    Sony Digital HD Pro Camera

    Hello, all.

Recently I asked a question regarding Sony HD cameras, but it was specifically regarding a consumer camera that records AVCHD, and which I was informed cannot be imported into or edited by Liquid but has to be transcoded.

Our department is looking at the purchase of a Sony HVR-Z5U Digital HD Camcorder, which records on DVCAM tapes and/or on flash memory cards or a hard drive (both optional).  Under video recording format, it says:  HDV Mode 1:  (MPEG2 MP@H-14L, 4:2:0, 25 Mbps (1440 x 1080).  Is this an HD format that is supported by Liquid?

I shot a play using a rented HVR-Z5U and imported the video directly from the flash cards (using the tape as a backup). It edits in Liquid without problems. I've got to say, it's a very nice camera.
