    Professionally Authoring DVD's

Will Pinnacle V12 Plus professionallyauthor DVD's?

Can you define what you consider "professionally author" to encompass?

That being said:  If you're asking about CSS encryption, region coding, alternate audio tracks, commentary tracks, etc. then the answer is "no".

That depends on your definition of professionally. Many people use it for producing burned, rather than pressed, DVDs that they sell, but there are many features missing from Studio's DVD authoring, and it certainly doesn't support the file format expected by a duplication company.

    So no, really...

Added - hello Bittman. No I can't remember the format...

Yes asking because we produce dvd's and sell them. Was asking because google lists Pinnacle as being a Professionally Author Software. Honestly I am new to this so am not really positive what is meant by "professionally authoring"

Please tell that when I take this mud boggin dvd to the duplication company that this is going to work. It is a very big project an hour and a half long and set to be released memorial day weekend.

OK:  When you take this mud boggin dvd to the duplication company it is going to work.  Maybe.  Wink

Actually, if all you're talking about is DUPLICATION, it's up to you to make sure your DVD works, and if it does, the duplicates should work.

"Professional DVD Authoring" can mean many different things to many different people, and Studio may or may not support what they're trying to do.

Thanks bittman for your responce. I have created several dvd's but none I had to duplicate in high volume just a few at a time. I will find out for sure on Thursday when I take it in.
