A normal turntable has too low an output to record successfully, in good quality, using a line level input such as the Dazzle, particularly if your turntable has a magnetic cartridge fitted. If you just want to record from the line output of an amplifier with a phono input attached to a turntable, it should be fine, but you may need to feed the Dazzle with a video signal. However, you should also be able to record from the same device into your sound card, so you might as well forget the Dazzle.
If you only have the turntable and no preamp, you should be able to use a program such as Audacity to record, via the microphone input into the sound card in your computer. There are preset equalisations that will apply the correct EQ to make the pickup sound as if it had been passed through the appropriate amplifier.
Or you could buy one of the USB turntables on the market.
