Liquid 7.2 - Export --> destination --> no burners listed

Now that I've replaced my bad CPU, thought I'd try a short project to verify that Liquid is running OK.

I created a half-hour project, used the DVD wiz to make a 3-button menu - it tested out OK. Then I went to burn a DVD using Export from the Quick Access Menu along the top. I selected "DVD", then below that "DVD ISO image + burn to disc" - bacause I want to make more copies. I have "Source" as Loaded Sequence, but when I look at the "Destination' area, no Burners are listed - I actually have two, a Pioneer DVD-2910 and a Lite-on Super AllWrite someting-or-other.

These burners were in the computer when I installed Liquid 7, then the 7.2 upgrade - I thought that they'd be detected by the program. Hmmmm.............

Any ideas or suggestions you have would be really appreciated.

    Thank you,

Do they appear in your windows Device Manager?

Yes, they appear under DVD/CD-ROM drives as ATAPI iHAS120  6   and PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-216D.

I clicked "Properties" on each and Device Status says the device is working properly.

Try reinstalling Liquid over itself and see if that fixes it.

I have the 7.0 upgrade on disc, the 7.2 upgrade download from Pinnacle; also the patch for DX10 video cards.

I'm thinking I should reinstall the 7.2 upgrade, but I'm not sure about the DX10 patch.

    Thanx,

No, you should just install the full patch I pointed you to. You might want to remove what is there now and just install this patch clean.

    Hi Lew,

Okay, just to confirm........ I'll use add/remove programs to uninstall Liquid 7.2, reboot, then re-install the Full 7.2 patch. And NOT install the DX10 patch. Here's what I found from you in a previous posting about my BSOD problem....

"For one thing, according to your profile you are running an outdated version of Liquid. The current version is 7.2. Second, you have a DX10 video card and those only work correctly with 7.2 and the DX10 patch. The best thing to do is uninstall your current version of Liquid, download and install the Full 7.2 patch and then the DX10 patch. You can find them here."

Thanks Lew, I'll give it a try!

I would install the full install of Liquid and the DX10 patch. I believe your video card is a DX10 card and even if not, I don't see any harm in installing the DX10 patch. Go for it.

Re: Liquid 7.2 - Export --> destination --> no burners listed

Right now I'm re-installing the Liquid 7.2 patch - and I just saw that it's installing the SmartSound stuff - something that I didn't have previously. Next, I'll do the DX10 patch.  Hopefully, I can get it running before little Ben's babysitter (our niece) has to leave at noon for band practice - last spring she got to play her guitar with the house band at Hog's Breath Saloon - Key West. We got to watch her thru their webcam. I taped it off my laptop and burned a disc using my (then-kind-of-functional) LE 6.1.

I'll let ya know of my results!

    Thanx again,

WaHOOOO!  Found the DVD drives, now it's Exporting Sequence.  I'm cautiously optimistic about this. I'll update with more as the story develops.

    Thanx for your help!
