Ive loaded Studio 12 Ultimate and when trying to view m-peg 4 clips it tells me to get activation codes online for free unlocking. Problem is that I cant find where to get M-Peg 4 encoding activation keys.

Have you registered the software? If so, you should then get your activations emailed to you.

hey JJN, yes I have registered and they gave me act codes for some other stuff, mpeg 2 and dream glow. They dont even work.Bit confused????

Excuse me bittman; 

On my activation keys there are no numbers, just upper case letters. Make sure you're not entering a one or zero in place of an I or O.

Also, when I upgraded to ver 12, I had to go to the help menu and regenerate the activation keys.

What Don said - if you are connected to the internet, what happens when you select Regenerate activation keys from the help menu of Studio 12?

Yeah, thats half the problem. Im working on 2 machines. This one is on the net but the 1 with Pinnacle is not. This causes all kinds of headaches when trying to activate stuff. I have to save to this machine and then install on the other machine. Technology, sometimes a wonderful thing.LOL

It's no good getting your activation keys on one machine and putting them into another - the two machines will have different passports, and therefore generate different keys - although that doesn't sound like what you are doing.

I would consider this as an ideal setup. I would want my work computer as far away as possible from my  editing workhorse. Keep an external drive/usb thumbdrive to save your activations codes on text files.

I requested another set of activation codes and the dream glow actually worked. Great. Now all I need is the M peg 4 encoding so I can get on with it. hahaha I have requested tech support but 24hrs later they have still to respond. We will see. TX for the advise.
