NO Montage Themes appear in drop down box?????

Hi, I am new to these forums but I am familiar with Studio, 10+, then 11 now have installed 12 and downloaded the latest upgrade fix to 12.1,  BUT I have no montage Themes appearing in the drop down box, I have searched everywhere, but cannot find where these themes are supposed to be, can anyone please advise me what I need to do to make them appear, I have sent a help desk email but the 48 hour turn around has past and as yet no answers.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the ForumSmile

In Edit Album "Show Montage Themes" Icon  Drop-down, you should have: 50s modern, Album etc. If theses aren't showing a "Repair" Install might fix it.

Whereas in S10/11 a "Repair" overwrites what you have, to your original Installation & then Update to latest Patch, S12.1 apparently  doesn't, but try it anyway:

Insert S12 Prog Disk / Select install / Select "Repair", in following "Pop-Up".

If that doesn't fix it. Re-Install to just S12.0 & don't Update to S12.1 Patch. Hopefully that will.

    Download/Install & Run RedDelete 3 times for S11 (There isn't one for S12), after you've Uninstalled S12 .1 & before you Re-install S12.

    S11 RegDelete HERE

    Anyone-else?

    Welcome to the forums.

You'll find the Montage Themes in the main video tool box, these are the icons located just to the left of the album window. The very left side of the screen. The Montage Themes icon is the third one down form the top.

Here are some tutorials that might be of some help to you. click here

Many thanks Pinhead, I did uninstall previously but on install added the update 12.1,  it may possibly had something to do with either the update conflicting or overwriting files etc or some left over files from ver 11, ver 10 that are now deleted by regedit,  many thanks for your advice

Re: NO Montage Themes appear in drop down box?????

Hi,  Yes the themes did appear thanking you, and everything else appears OK at first.   BUT, On using montage, selecting Album theme, I drop photos into drop zone 1,2,3 and a video into drop zone 4, on play back it shows 1, 2 then goes directly to drop zone 4, missing drop zone 3,  I have tried deleting the video clip from 4 but it still misses 3,  any clues?

I know it seams strange, but that's the way Pinnacle designed it.

Thanks to colour for getting you straightened out. I was on the wrong track.

Re: NO Montage Themes appear in drop down box?????

Montage  n.  Selection, cutting, and piecing together as a consecutive whole of separate sections of cinema or television film;(production of) composite picture made from various elements.

So... with the album montage - not a means of presenting a slide show in itself but a means of making a photo presentation within a DVD a little more interesting - its just another effect. The opening and ending are self explanatory. Think of the two intermediate ones as extended transitions between photos or video. You don't need to see every photo in the montage - its a lead-in to the photos you do wish to display - the intermediates are also a way to change to a different set of photos by going back to the album and then moving to the new theme - or a nice way of moving from video to photos or visa versa - that's my take on it anyway - FWIW
