I hate this feature of Pinnacle most of all. I hate software designed to think for me. I want to permanently disable the automatic 'scene detection' in Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate...or I'm going to buy Sony Vegas.

I have had mine turned off for so long I forgot that was a option, from the pull down menu do 'setup-capture source' in there the last option select 'No auto scene detection'. If your talking about the auto scene detection on the album selection, just do not double click on the video segment, you can drag and drop a video onto the time-line with out opening the video which kicks on the scene detection.

Also, if you've already captured video and want to remove the scene detection, just go to its location and delete the .scn file with the same name. Now re-import the video into the album with scene detection turned off and it will revert to one single scene.
