    color correction issue

Hi, I got two cams were the colors don't match up. Wall on one shot has a reddish color to it and the other one is light tan I want to say. This guy never white balance his two cams. Really upsetting.  I worked it the best I know how but looks bad. Can any one tell me how I can post some footage for any of you to view and give me some tips. Color work is not my strong spot. I can make a snap shot to post but will it be to small to view? Anyhow I need some advice, this is driving me crazy. Anyone is So Cal what to make some snack money on training me in color correction let me know..

    Re: color correction issue

You can just post the snap shots. They'll still be 720x480 (or larger for HD) and that's good enough. There's an option here for attaching files. You can use that (use two separate posts; you can only attach 1 file to a post). A small version of the picture will show up in the post, and clicking on it will display the full size shot.

I'm pretty good at color correction. I'm sure others here are better. So post the shots and let us see what we can do.

3rd one just because. They are all of the same background but as you see the wall colors are off. Tried a 3 point, 1 point, and tone balance to try and fix it. I believe the hue match worked but made it very bright, showed some grain in the clip. So what ever you guys got for me I would be thankful.

This looks like one's shot with a Sony and the other's shot with a Canon.

I'll play around with them and see what I can get.

Here's a quick attempt, and the first pass looks pretty good. All I did was to add the Classic ColorCorrection editor to one clip, set the other one as the reference clip, use the rectangle tool to select a similar area in both pictures which should have the same tone (in this case the section of wall just above the groom and the section of wall to the right of young lady in the other clip), and then used Histomatch. The result was good with color but a little dark, so I raised the gamma slightly. That was it. Obviously without actual clips it's hard to say if this works throughout, but I think it's going to be pretty close.

If you're not familiar with it, then I strongly suggest reading up on the ColorCorrection editor. It's one of the best tools in Liquid. If you need a more detailed explanation of what I did, let me know.

    Try that:

    Primary Color

    Gain:

    R 40

    G 6

    B 13

    Luminance Gamma:

    -10

    R 2

    G 10

    B 47

    Luminance Black Level:

    -17

    R 15

    G 6

    B -25
