I use Pinnacle 11 Ultimate on Windows Vista.
When I create a project and try to burn it to a disc, it seems to be "eating" my hard drive.
I have approximately 10 Projects saved of varying lengths of 20 minutes to 95 minutes.
In C:\ProgramData\Pinnacle Studio\Data\Render\"project name", my movies take up 307 GB of space on my hard drive. The projects are also listed in C:\Documents\Pinnacle Studio\My Projects\"project name" and there, they take up 764 MB.
The movie I am working on is approximately 65 minutes long and it takes up 97 GB of space in the "render" file and 84 MB of space in the "my projects" file. It is a combination of video, photos and audio files. Before I started to burn the 21 copies of it that I am trying to make, I still had 13 GB on my hard drive - not a lot, but I thought it would be plenty. My burn failed for some unknown reason and now I can't burn anything because it says "There is not enough room on drive C: to create the disc project. Please free up some disk space or change the auxilliary folder path and try again." Now, I have only 20 MB of space left on my 455 GB hard drive - more hard drive disappearing into thin air. Short of dumping the "render" files, I have almost nothing left on my hard drive to clear out. So far, I have only burned 3 copies of the 21 I need. Not sure about changing the "auxilliary folder path" - what does that mean?
Do I need to have these projects saved in both locations (the "render" and the "my projects" file)? Can I dump the render file without losing all my work so that I can take back my hard drive? I want to be able to burn copies in the future without having to do the work over again.
