My Bob don't work!!!!!!

    My Bob don't work!!!!!!

    Hi everybody I have a big problem my bob stop working. I have Avid Liquid 7.2 and I have reinstalled my XP sp2 and after I install LE windows still showing 'usb device'. it meens that the driver is not installed even when I have installed it manually from the LE DVD. please help me my job is blocked.

    When you click on the TV icon in the Liquid taskbar, is the Pro device seen there? Have you selected an output format there? You can tell if the drivers are installed and the BOB is recognized by going into XP's Device Manager and under System Devices look for the Pinnacle Marvin Bus and under Sound, Video and game controllers, look for the Pinnacle Pro BOB. If you do not see the Marvin drivers, you did not install them properly from the DVD.

    when i click on the TV icon I found liquid and then I choose VGA second head but nothing is showen also when I choose IEEE, In the device manager I can't find Pinnacle Marvin Bus under sound, Video and game controllers but I found it under Systeme devices, and when I chose out mode (IEEE or VGA) or I click EZ capture I hear the sounds but also the same problem(I have installed it more thand 5 times and also the same problem).

    So, under the TV icon, you do not see the Pinnacle Pro device? Do you have any other USB devices connected to this system such as printers, scanners, card readers, etc. The BOB must be the only USB device on the USB controller it is connected to. All other USB devices must either be disconnected or on their own controller.

    Well, I have disconnected all the other usb devices except the mouse and keybord but the same problem. when click EZ capture I can't choose the source of captureoptions are disabled.

    We really need a bit more info on your system at this point. It could be the MB just doesn't have the right USB port or has burned out......

    IEEE or VGA do not work with the BOB it should be an option of its own...........

    Please check out this thread: It Never Rains But It Pours. In it I describe how to check the device ID that the BOB is reporting back to Windows. If it's reporting itself as the Cypress USB development kit, then the BOB has failed (same if it's not reporting back anything at all).

    The problem is that I don't find it under Device manager and under game and sound controllers but I find it under system devices (pinnacle Marvin bus) and windows still showing for me usb device unknown...

    Dell quadcore Q6600

    3GB

    No, what you find under System Devices are the drivers (Pinnacle Marvin Bus) for the BOB. What you are not finding as we discovered yesterday is the actual BOB itself (Pinnacle Systems Liquid Edition Pro Device) under Sound, video and game controllers. As I said to you yesterday, it appears the device has failed and you need to contact Pinnacle to see if they can replace it for you.
