just to inform you all

i downloaded the new clipbrowser software version 2.5 from sony for xdcam ex  and i recognized that the transcoding to mxf for nle systems goes a lot faster then the old one!

!!!!!!!!!But be carefull this version of mxf files is a problem for liquid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The exported file of the software is alright file works well in adobe cs4 or in media composer but in avid liquid each file is always only 9 sec long and it is not able to playback by liquid!

So i suggest for all which working with that stay on version 2.0 of the clipbrowser i know it´s a pain in the .... but it is in the moment the only why to do so!!!

If anyone has other experience then let me know

 Please Pinnacle /Avid can that be repaired because it would safe a lot of time the new clipbrowser!!!! Or can it be directly import supportedt for that like in Edius or in premiere?

I recently used 2.5 for a very long project and it worked perfectly with Liquid.  The files did seem to eat up a bit more cpu power then my usual m2v stripped versions but they all worked just fine.

I tried everything with this version but it doesn´t work each file i try to import is only 9sec an 15 frames  in Liquid in media composer or in adobe its alright!

I was editing bevore 6 shows each 26 min (with more then 6 ex3 cams) all only ex3 material and it worked fine in liquid with the older version of the clipbrowser!

But with the new one it doesn´t work at all i tried it on all our 6 machines! Files after import only 9 sec 15 frames!!!

So there must be an problem because same files with older version of browser works fine! 

Any ideas?

Did you ever resolve this issue.  I am having the same problem, having shot an interview on EX3 in 1920x1080 35mbps mode.

I'd be interested to know how you got round the issue

I experienced the same problem with ver. 2.5 so I  reverted back to ver. 2.0.
