Studio 10 Hollywood FX Vol. 2 is not available in Studio 12 after transferring content.

Support FAQ refers to RTFX Vol 1 & 2 - for me Vol 1 is there only Vol 2 is missing - only help given is to "contact support via email" - problem is I am unable to do so as it wants me to create an account before I submit question. It then says unable to create account as email address used already exists in database (which it probably does) this happens irrespective of which email address I give. So I'm effectively blocked from submitting the problem

Transfer wizard does not give option to look for S10 content on HD or bonus disc. S9, S10, S11 & S12 all loaded and Vol 2 is missing from S11 & S12. Didn't use S11 much and didn't notice it was missing but need it in current S12 project

Re-entering activation keys does not make content available

(_!_)ing-inWink Hi Colin - Very long time no-see. How ya doing? You've been sorely missed in the Forum, especially in the Pinhead ProjectsSad. Project 4 started this month. So how about making me, Althea & the rest of the gang, surviving from Project 1, very happy, by entering a Clip? 2 months to go. A Clip like your last one, would be greatBig Smile

BTW - A fellow "All Black", Iain,  has just started doing Pinhead Clips. So you would be in good company! (_!_)ing-outWink

    Have you been here?

Yep that's the problem - at bottom of that FAQ under "Known Issues" is the link as per the title of this post - and the link tells you to email support - which I can't do because it wants to create an account b4 I can email, and then won't accept any of my email address's in account creation Angry   Everything else in the above link I think I've covered, without success. Read a sticky where cancelling the transfer wizard when it starts, and then starting it again, gives acess to S10 content but that doesn't work either.

Hi Peter - been keeping an eye on the forum from time to time. Have rather large building project that I've been working on in any spare time for the last few years. Trying to get it finished so Mum & Dad  can move into the bottom apartment. They are both in their mid eighties so it may be touch & go whether they make it - as health isn't 100% - probably another 6 months of work still to do. Sad

So, sorry but Pinhead would definitely be on the backburner at this stage. I've actually got two wedding projects (filmed nearly two years ago) to do once the building project is finished. The way things work these days - I've got my fingers crossed that both couples will still be together when I get the DVDs finished Wink

    Cheers

    Hi Colin

    Try this:

    1) Launch S10 / check you have HFX Vol 2 showing & Unlocked / yes/no?

    2) If yes & with S10 Open, Run S12 Transfer Wizard again.

I still have a Wedding DVD to complete, coming upto 2 years now. The joke of it is that they were dissapointed with the photos at the time & wanted to know what I'd Captured. I sent them a completely Unedited DVD of the ceremony, but not the Reception & partly as a test to see if my DVDs would play on their standalone DVD Player. They were thrilled with what I had Captured & not to bother with Editing it!! They obviously don't recognise rubbish, when they see itWink

    Hi Colin

Yes - Showing and unlocked - along with JP effects (3 of) and HL effects (1 of) - None of which appear in S11 or S12

    2) If yes & with S10 Open, Run S12 Transfer Wizard again.

Done - unfortunately still don't appear - splash screens that show during transfer make no reference to S10 and give no chance to access bonus discs etc - Only refers briefly to transferring from S11. Yes tried removing S11 bonus content and reinstalling - no joy

"They obviously don't recognise rubbish, when they see itWink " Now there's a thought - just send em the raw footage - not sure they would be all that impressed if I gave them the raw footage from a 2 camera shoot to sort out Embarrassed

Re: Studio 10 Hollywood FX Vol. 2 is not available in Studio 12 after transferring content.

OK all seems fixed - running file FixMissingPixie.pxm appeared to fix missing JP effects after I upgraded JP effects to the S11-S12 version. But not RTFX Vol 2. Neither did deleting editorcache.xxxx and effectscache.xxxx files and deleting directory HfxXML and all of its contents.

But in the StudioXML folder in S10 there exists a RTFX Vol 2 Folder - I simply copied that to the same directory in S12 and all appears to be working fine.  Smile

But still like to know why I can't email support???
