I currently have a dazzle 150 platinum and my computer says i don't have the right drivers and all of that stuff...im looking to just buy a new one that will work for my vista 64 bit.  Price is not a problem, but quality needs to be great.  if someone could recommend something that has great quality that is compatible with my OS lemme know.

Price no object?  Very high quality?  Canopus ADVC 300?  (Or a 110 if that's a little TOO expensive)

 

Price somewhat of an object?  Pinnacle MovieBoard or MovieBox?

 

Or, if you have a DV camcorder that does analog passthru, that's a good route to go as well.

 

But just realize: There aren't many capture devices out there that are made to work with the XBox, so whatever you decide to buy, be sure that it not only works well with Vista, but will capture potentially "weird" sources such as you can get from video games.

How much better quality?  Well, I think the answer would be "dunno, how bad is your source?".  That device is used to get (hopefully) usable video out of some potentially really ratty old analog sources.  But will it work better on the XBox?  No idea -- recording the output from video games isn't a "normal" use of any of these devices.  If they work, then cool...but no guarantees.

No idea...really.

Any of those devices SHOULD work.  But no fair coming back and complaining when it turns out that it doesn't...OK?
