I have a HDV HC1 Sony camera, picture quality is great when burned to Toshiba HD DVD ,even when there is movement its ok on HD DVD but looks pretty crappy on AVCHD, a higher bit rate should help a LOT!!.

I am using regular DVD+R or DL, but S12 does not allow BR MPEG2 (on DVD+/-R). That would be much better to use for the Bluray player,or is there a way to use MPEG2 on a DVD+R ?

BTW I lucked out by saving my edited videos as a MPEG2 file on DVD+DL so I can now burn whatever I want w/o quality loss.

Bought a Sony BR S350 for $175 at local BB last Friday so now all old videos get burned to BR.
